There’s a new design studio in town. Conker Studio has officially opened its doors in Grimsby, bringing brand, digital and creative design together with a simple ambition: to make thoughtful, effective design accessible to ambitious businesses across North East Lincolnshire and beyond.
Grimsby feels like the right place to start. It’s a town with a strong identity and a long history of making things happen, from fishing and food to engineering, manufacturing and the businesses growing around them today. Alongside those established industries is a new generation of independent businesses, entrepreneurs and creative people helping to shape what comes next.
That’s what makes the area so interesting to us. There are plenty of businesses here with something worth saying, but being good at what you do and communicating it well aren’t always the same thing. We see design as a way of closing that gap - helping businesses express who they are, what they do and where they want to go.
Conker is an independent studio, and that means staying curious. We’re interested in the thinking behind a business as much as the finished design. Whether it’s a new idea taking shape or an established business ready for a change, the starting point is always understanding the problem before deciding what the solution should look like.
While Grimsby is home, our outlook isn't limited by geography. Good ideas don't need a big-city postcode, and businesses here shouldn't feel they need to look or think like businesses somewhere else. We want Conker to be part of the local creative and business community while working with people further afield too.
Opening the doors is just the beginning. We’re looking forward to meeting the businesses, people and ideas that make North East Lincolnshire what it is, and seeing what we can create together.
