Brand Identity

One look, used the same way everywhere.

Brand identity design is everything that makes your business recognisable at a glance - the logo suite, colours, typefaces, imagery, tone of voice and the rules that hold them together. At Conker Studio in Grimsby, I build complete identity systems for businesses across North East Lincolnshire, so the van, the invoice, the Instagram post and the website all look like they came from the same place. You get the files, the guidance and the confidence to use them.

A logo on its own rarely holds together.

Most businesses start with a logo and make the rest up as they go. A printer picks a font for the leaflets, someone guesses the green for the sign, the social posts use whatever Canva suggests. Five years later you have six shades of the same colour, three versions of the logo and nothing that feels like one business.

Proper brand identity design fixes that at the root. It decides the pieces once, shows how they fit, and gives you a set of files anyone can pick up and use correctly.

Sound familiar?

01

Your logo only works in one place

It looks fine on the website but falls apart on a hi-vis back or a social profile picture.

02

Nobody knows your exact colours

Suppliers ask for a Pantone or hex code and you have to guess.

03

Every new job starts from scratch

Each flyer, sign or post gets designed differently because there is nothing to follow.

04

You look smaller than you are

The quality of your work has outgrown how the business presents itself.

The whole system, not just the mark

Each brand identity design is built around the places your business actually shows up, from van doors to email signatures.

01

Logo suite

A primary logo plus stacked, horizontal and icon versions, so there is a right fit for a wide banner, a square avatar and a small embroidered chest badge, all ready to protect as a registered trade mark. If a logo is all you need, see logo design.

02

Colour palette

Primary and supporting colours with CMYK, RGB, hex and Pantone references, tested on paper, screen and vinyl so they stay consistent wherever they are printed or displayed.

03

Typography

A heading and body typeface pairing, with sizes and weights set out, plus free web-safe alternatives for everyday documents in Word or Google Docs.

04

Imagery and graphic style

Guidance on photography, icons, patterns and supporting shapes, so your posts and print feel related even when the content changes.

05

Tone of voice

A short, practical guide to how the business sounds, with example phrases for quotes, social captions and the phone greeting.

06

Applications and guidelines

Business cards, letterhead, email signature, social templates and mock-ups on vehicles or workwear, all pulled together in a clear guidelines PDF.

Identities that hold up on site
Four steps from brief to files
01

Listen

We talk through your business, your customers, your competitors and where the brand needs to appear, from vehicles to packaging.

02

Explore

I present two or three distinct directions shown in real settings, so you can judge them on a van or a post rather than a blank page.

03

Refine

We take one direction forward and build out the full system: logo versions, colours, type, imagery and tone.

04

Handover

You receive organised files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG), a guidelines document and templates ready for your printer, signwriter or web developer.

Frequently asked questions.

The things business owners usually ask before starting a brand identity design project. If yours is not here, just get in touch.

Enquire
How much does brand identity design cost?

Brand identity starts from £1,250, depending on how many applications you need designed. Every project gets a fixed quote before work begins, and I am not VAT registered, so there is nothing to add on top.

How long does it take?

Most brand identity design projects take around four to six weeks from the first conversation to final files. A lot depends on how quickly feedback comes back, and I will agree a timeline with you at the start.

What is the difference between this and a logo?

A logo is one part of an identity. Brand identity design covers the full set of tools around it, so if you only need a mark, logo design is the better fit and costs less.

I already have a brand. Is this the right page?

If you are changing a brand that already exists, including a new name or a refresh of something dated, rebranding is set up for that. This page is for building a complete identity, often for a new business or one that never had a proper system.

What files will I get?

You get print-ready vector files (AI, EPS, PDF), web files (SVG and PNG with transparent backgrounds) and colour references for each format. Everything is labelled and organised so a printer or signwriter can find what they need without phoning you.

Do you work with businesses outside Grimsby?

I am based in Grimsby and work across North East Lincolnshire, including Cleethorpes, Immingham, Waltham and Laceby. Meetings can be in person or on a video call, whichever suits you.

Can you also design the website and signage?

Yes. Once the identity is set, I can carry it into web design, signage and vehicle graphics and print, so everything is designed by the same person from the start.
