Edwards & Higgins are a plastering team who take real pride in a clean, sharp finish. Their work spoke for itself, but the business behind it didn't have an identity to match - nothing tied the vans, the workwear and the paperwork together, and nothing told a new customer this was the firm worth calling first.
We started by getting to know how the business works and who it works for, then built a brand identity from the ground up - a confident wordmark, an ampersand that doubles as a monogram, a colour palette and a simple set of guidelines - before carrying it through workwear, stationery and a website designed around the services customers actually need.
The ampersand sits at the heart of it. It's the one mark that says two names, one team, and its flowing, trowel-like curves hint at the craft without leaning on the usual trade clichés of tools and houses. It's paired with a bold, no-nonsense typeface that stays legible from across a site, and a palette of deep slate and plaster orange that feels grounded and dependable while still standing out.
Because a plasterer's brand mostly lives on site rather than on a screen, we designed it to work just as hard on a van door or a hi-vis as it does on a quote or a phone. The ampersand stands on its own where space is tight, the orange carries easily onto workwear, and the whole system flexes from print and signage to social posts and the website without losing what makes it recognisable.
Edwards & Higgins now look like the professional, reliable team they've always been. The brand gives them a consistent presence wherever customers come across them - on site, on the road or online - and a team that's proud to wear it.
